Miami transfer running back Don Chaney Jr. is staying in the ACC, committing to Louisville, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The grad transfer will be able to immediately play for the Cardinals. In his four seasons with the Hurricanes, the running back rushed for 852 career yards and six touchdowns, averaging 4.9 yards per carry.

The Miami native had his best season this past fall, carrying the ball 94 times for 478 yards. Chaney picked the Canes as a recruit over Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.

With Louisville running back Jawhar Jordan headed for the NFL draft, the Cards add a veteran tailback to their backfield. Jordan rushed for more than 1,100 yards and 13 touchdowns this season.
