Jawhar Jordan was the No. 11 prospect coming out of Arizona's Chandler Hamilton High School in the 2018 recruiting class. Jordan began his career at Syracuse, where he had a breakout 2022 season. He finished the season as the Orange's leading rusher with 815 yards on 142 carries and four touchdowns. Jordan was also named the MVP of the Fenway Bowl after racking up 115 yards on nine carries against Cincinnati. He transferred to Louisville ahead of the 2023 season and became one of the top rushers in the ACC. He topped the 100-yard mark five times during the regular season and also developed as a receiving threat out of the backfield. Jordan also scored two touchdowns in five regular season games.
