Arizona forward Dylan Anderson plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he told On3’s Joe Tipton. He appeared in 15 games during the 2022-23 season for the Wildcats before redshirting this year.

As a freshman a year ago, Anderson averaged 1.4 points in 3.6 minutes of action. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Anderson arrived at Arizona as a three-star prospect and was the No. 95 overall player from the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Arizona is coming off a 27-9 overall record this past season en route to a Sweet Sixteen appearance. The Wildcats also went 15-5 in their final season in the Pac-12 as they get ready to make the move to the Big 12 next year.

Dylan Anderson isn’t the only Arizona player planning to transfer, though. Big man Oumar Ballo also entered the portal on Monday in a huge blow to Tommy Lloyd’s group.

Ballo transferred in from Gonzaga prior to the 2021-22 season and became a crucial part of the Arizona attack. He’s coming of an impressive third season in Tucson as he averaged 12.9 points and 10.1 rebounds as he anchored the paint for the Wildcats. That was his follow-up to a 2022-23 campaign in which he averaged a career-high 14.2 points to earn Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year.

After officially entering Monday afternoon, Ballo became the No. 2 overall player in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings, trailing only former Stanford big man Maxime Raynaud.

Arizona has also lost forwards Paulius Murauskas and Filip Borovicanin to the portal this week. It might not all be subtraction for the Wildcats, though. They’re in on Florida transfer Riley Kugel and made his top four schools as he goes through the process.

Kugel just wrapped up his second season at Florida. In 65 games with the Gators, including 28 starts, he averaged 9.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and a steal a game in 23 minutes. He did so while shooting 42.3% from the field and 34.2% from three, although his freshman-year clips were better than his sophomore year’s at 45.6% overall and 37.6% from deep.
