Missouri added another defensive piece from the transfer portal on Tuesday, picking up a commitment from former Alabama defensive lineman Isaiah Hastings.

On3’s Hayes Fawcett announced on Twitter Tuesday afternoon that Hastings will be joining the Tigers program.

Hastings signed with Alabama as a four-star recruit in the class of 2022. He was ranked as the No. 151 overall player in the country that year, according to the On3 Industry rankings.

He is joining a Missouri program that has plenty of momentum after finishing 11-2 this season and capping off the year with a win over Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl.

Hastings appeared in one game as a freshman in 2021 and recorded one tackle. As a redshirt freshman in 2023, he did not appear in a game. The Canada native will look to have a bigger impact at Missouri.

Prior to signing with Alabama, Hastings attended Clearwater Academy International in Florida. He originally chose Alabama over Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Oregon. Now he’s off to play for Missouri.
