Jimmy Holiday, a wide receiver who spent the last two seasons at Tennessee before entering the transfer portal, is going from Rocky Top to the Hill Top. That’s because, as of today, he has left the portal with the announcement of his commitment to play for Western Kentucky.

Holiday shared the news on Twitter that he will be playing for Tyson Helton and the Hilltoppers in 2023.

Holiday, a former three-star out of Madison, Mississippi, committed to play for the Volunteers out of the 2020 class. He just missed the cut to be a Top-500 player per the On3 Consensus but finished as a Top-100 receiver in his class.

From there, he went on to catch seven passes in Knoxville for 111 yards and a touchdown. A majority of that production came in 2022.

In their fourth season under Helton, WKU scored 36.4 points per game which was 15th best in the nation. They had four players amongst their receiving corps finish with over 500 yards this season, including one with over 1,000. With Holiday heading to Bowling Green, he’ll look to be the next receiver to do so in an underrated mid-major system out in Conference USA.

USF lands former Tennessee OL Reginald Perry out of transfer portal

USF has landed former Tennessee offensive lineman Reginald ‘RJ’ Perry out of the transfer portal. He announced his commitment to the Bulls Saturday morning via Twitter, which you can see below.

Perry played high school football at Fairfield (Ala.) Preparatory School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 730 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
