Troy transfer WR Jabre Barber commits to Texas A&M
Troy transfer wide receive Jabre Barber has committed to Texas A&M, he announced via social media. He had nearly 1,000 yards for the Trojans this past season before entering the transfer portal.
Barber had far and away his most productive season at Troy in 2023, hauling in 75 receptions for 999 yards and five touchdowns across his 14 appearances. He entered the portal Dec. 27, and came in as the No. 130 overall transfer and the No. 30-ranked wide receiver in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.
On the whole, during his time at Troy, Barber had 132 receptions for 1,674 yards and 10 touchdowns across 32 appearances. He took a redshirt year as a freshman, meaning he played three full seasons with the Trojans before transferring.
Jabre Barber played high school football at Dothan (Ala.), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 2,818 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
