Josh Kelly: Washington State WR adds Texas Tech visit

Josh Kelly has quickly become one of the top wide receiver options in the transfer portal.

Ranked as the No. 11 wideout in the portal this cycle, according to On3, he’s picked up offers a range of top programs, including Penn State, Arkansas, Kansas State, Tennessee, Utah and Cincinnati since entering last week.

Kelly spent Tuesday in South Bend with the Notre Dame coaching staff. According to a source close to the wide receiver, he’s now scheduled the second visit of his portal recruitment. Josh Kelly will be at Texas Tech later this month from Dec. 11 to Dec. 13.

The Red Raiders have lost three receivers to the portal two days into the 30-day winter window. They do have Five-Star Plus+ recruit Micah Hudson in the 2024 class. Kelly’s experience could make a difference in Hudson’s development.

Josh Kelly was one of Cam Ward’s top targets this fall. The grad transfer finished with 61 catches for 923 yards and eight touchdowns this season.
