San Diego State transfer defensive back Marcus Ratcliffe has flipped his commitment from UCLA to Texas A&M. He previously announced his commitment to the Bruins, but made his flip official via social media on Thursday.

Ratcliffe only played one season with San Diego State, appearing in all 12 games. He finished his debut campaign with 50 tackles, one pass defended and one interception. He had a season-high six tackles in the Aztecs’ loss against No. 16 Oregon State.

Instead of going to UCLA, though, Marcus Ratcliffe is now heading to Texas A&M.

Ratcliffe posted a message on social media when he announced his intention to enter the portal.

“l am extremely thankful for my time at SDSU,” Ratcliffe said. “Thank you Coach Hoke and Coach Mattix for believing in me and allowing me to start as a true freshman. I will forever cherish my time at SDSU!”

Ratcliffe played high school football at Cathedral Catholic (CA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 955 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
