Notre Dame transfer NaNa Osafo-Mensah announces transfer commitment to TCU
TCU landed a big commitment via the transfer portal on Friday as former Notre Dame edge rusher NaNa Osafo-Mensah announced he’s committed to the Horned Frogs. Ofaso-Mensah is a Fort Worth, Texas, native.
Osafo-Mensah played in 39 career games at Notre Dame, with 37 appearances coming across the last three seasons. He played two games in his first two seasons, 2019 and 2020. He has five career sacks and nine tackles for loss. The Irish went a combined 50-13 during the five seasons that Osafo-Mensah was on the team.
He’ll drop in on a defense for TCU that struggled in 2023 a year removed from shining as the Horned Frogs made the College Football Playoff. He also joins the Horned Frogs heading into a new-look Big 12 in 2024.
Osafo-Mensah played high school football at Nolan Catholic (Texas) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 245 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
