Texas Longhorns wide receiver transfer Casey Cain has committed to UNLV, he announced via X on Thursday evening. Cain will be reuniting with Brennan Marion, who is currently the Rebels’ offensive coordinator.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian ran a tight rotation this past season at wide receiver, not allowing too many bodies to get on the field. Cain has dealt with injuries throughout his career as well, continually rehabbing one of his knees. Hopefully, things can change in Las Vegas and Cain can finally get some playing time.

In nine appearances this season with Texas, Cain caught just one pass for 13 yards. He was more effective during the 2022 season, going for 201 yards and eight receptions. Once joining UNLV, one of Cain’s first goals will surely be securing his first touchdown.

Cain played high school football at New Orleans (LA) Warren Easton, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 824 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies
