Northern Iowa LB Jahsiah Galvan commits to Wisconsin
Wisconsin has picked up a commitment from Northern Iowa linebacker Jahsiah Galvan.
The redshirt freshman announced that he was joining the Badgers program Friday afternoon on Twitter.
Galvan was named a first-team freshman All-American by Phil Steele this season after recording 77 tackles, including 5.5 tackles for loss. He also forced a fumble, broke up four passes and had an interception.
Jahsiah Galvan appeared in 11 games this past season, after playing in two in 2022. He made four tackles his first year on campus.
The Iowa native starred on both sides of the ball at West Liberty, prior to signing with Northern Iowa.
As a high school senior in 2021, he rushed for 1,305 yards and 16 touchdowns. His numbers were even better as a junior when he put up 1,673 yards and 14 scores.
He will play for Luke Fickell at Wisconsin. The former Cincinnati head coach is wrapping up his first season leading the Badgers program.
Wisconsin is set to play LSU in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Jan 1.
