Wisconsin star Chucky Hepburn has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

The talented point guard averaged 9.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this past season. Hepburn signed with Wisconsin in the class of 2021. He is the second starting Wisconsin guard to enter the transfer portal since the season ended, joining AJ Storr.

Chucky Hepburn started all 33 games for the Badgers as a true freshman, averaging 7.9 points and 2.3 assists per game. He was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team that season, while becoming the first true freshman to start a Wisconsin season opener since 2001.

As a sophomore in 2022-23, Hepburn saw his production increase, averaging 12.2 points and 2.9 assists per game. He also led the team in assists with 99 and steals with 52 while being named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten.

This past season, Hepburn’s scoring numbers decreased, but he still had an outstanding year. He was once again named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten and was also named to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team.

Chucky Hepburn also played a big role in Wisconsin advancing to the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game, including scoring 22 points in a win over Purdue. He was named to the All-Big Ten Tournament Team after his strong showing.

Wisconsin transfer AJ Storr commits to Kansas

Not long before former Wisconsin guard Chucky Hepburn entered the transfer portal, another former Badgers guard in AJ Storr announced where he will be playing next season.

Storr has committed to Kansas, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

Storr is joining the Jayhawks after spending one season with the Badgers. This past year, he averaged 16.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for Wisconsin, leading the team in scoring.

Storr started his career at St. John’s, averaging 8.8 points per game while appearing in all 33 games. He was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team following the 2022-23 season.

AJ Storr once again received all-conference honors in 2023-24 as he was named second-team All-Big Ten. He was also named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team.

The Illinois native was ranked as a four-star recruit in the class of 2022. He signed with St. John’s after being tabbed as the No. 105 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Industry rankings.

He helped Wisconsin to a 22-14 record this past season, before they were upset by James Madison in the NCAA Tournament.

Storr declared for the NBA draft, while maintaining his college eligibility last month. However, it seems as though he will be playing at Kansas next year and not turning pro.
