I've been to one. Sucks compared to the real ones. I have a hard time seeing one survive in Starkville. The suite rental is a little pricey (especially during peak hours) and the drinks are expensive. Food is moderately priced. Once the novelty wears off, I'm not sure we have the demo to support it. Hope I'm wrong.

Agreed....especially in a city like Starkville where it is relatively cheap and easy to play actual golf, and the climate allows for it for 9 or 10 months of the year. I went to a similar place up here, and I’m pretty sure I paid about $10 more to hit into a screen for 18 holes than I would have paid to play 18 with a cart most places, and I still had to bring my own clubs and everything.

Not sure if Top Golf has some minimum hardware requirements that is going to require them to be pricey, but you can get less realistic simulators for a lot less that also let you play games like baseball, soccer, etc. I think that'd be a better product for Starkville.

In all these instances, you are balancing the licensing fees vs. the draw of their brand.

Reading the article, i think some of you are missing what was said. Its not going to be a Top Golf Swing Suites, its going to be StaggerIn and have a Top Golf Swing Suites simulator as part of a gaming area.

Still sports bar, just something more to do.

Interesting. A large part of the Top Golf revenue model is food and drink. I’m a little surprised TG would go for that. Sounds like a conflict of business. Maybe they are doing some cobranded stuff with smaller businesses.

My guess is all Top Golf is doing is selling/leasing them a machine/bay and counting royalties
