Slight hi-jack, but has any back-up QB ever made the reputational turn around Winston has? He was derided early on, and for good reason, but now he's almost universally loved.Thought this was gonna be a Jameis Winston thread
Conversation I had with a co-worker this morning. How the heck has that guy managed to stay in the league for 12 years? 36-53 record. Passing percentage is about 4%-5% below average. Throws a lot of interceptions and relatively few touchdowns. YPA is on the low end of average.Slight hi-jack, but has any back-up QB ever made the reputational turn around Winston has? I have a really good take on the whole crab legs debacle. Long story and not to name drop but I ended up one night in Chicago at a cigar bar with multiple people involved in professional football and baseball. A GM was with us as well as a famous actor and his nephews. This was the year the Bucs drafted Winston and the nephews drilled the GM while we were sitting there around why they would draft him. GM proceeds to tell us the true story, not the media story, about the crab legs. When athletes went into that grocery store there was a sticker that was placed on any items from behind the counter so the people at the front knew they were athletes and were good to go. The sticker was placed on the crab legs and Winston took them and went to walk out. A new employee who was unaware of the sticker stopped him and called the police prior to the managers knowledge. It was totally blown up from there. They vetted out the whole thing and vetted Winston. The NFL has the truth for sure on their draftees. That came straight from the GMs mouth.Slight hi-jack, but has any back-up QB ever made the reputational turn around Winston has? He was cited and publicly said an employee "hooked him up". He did 20 hours of community service.I have a really good take on the whole crab legs debacle. “Community service” was her stage name.He was cited and publicly said an employee "hooked him up". He did 20 hours of community service.
Over a misunderstanding by the media?
Now tell us the "real" story about the "alleged" RAPE!I have a really good take on the whole crab legs debacle.
