Should we vow to not shave until we have a loss? I'm thinking I might start that tonight.

That’s fine, but can I at least shave my face?

This shaving talk got me thinking, back in the 80s, all the ladies had a bush and most one you'd expect could floss with. What happened to flip that to these fancy manicured putting greens that would make Edward Scissorhands proud and the slick little roast beef sandos?

I think once they shave it once they can’t stand the itch that comes with letting it grow back out.

old school safety razor, and proraso shaving soap bowl to tough up around beard.

Will never buy a modern razor again. Old school like my grandpa did is better
Old school safety razor for me too. It's better and way cheaper. I have a beard, but shave my neck with triple milled shave soap applied with a nice shave brush. I've had this same container of shave soap for 3 years and probably have another 6 months worth left. 1788573937884.png

hell yeah!! I have a 5:00 shadow to a full beard (depends on how busy I am), but shave my neck. the amount of money I wasted the past 35 years on razors and shave gels and such.....If I knew then what I know now, I would have always been a safety razor and shave soap and a brush!!

you will never go back
You speak the truth, best shave ever with this stuff. I went to a totally unrelated conference one year and there was a booth set up and they were handing this stuff out, you know somebody standing there dropping it in your bag. Took it home threw it in the catch all drawer and months later tried it. Haven't bought shaving cream since

I see posts about how expensive it is to shave. I pay about $25 for a 12-pact of Gillette Mach 3 blades that will last me a year. Then $4 for shaving gel that will easily last me 3 months, and maybe $5 for after shave that will last 6 months. Maybe $50 total for the year. I don't see the big deal.

OK, too much information about to hit but here it goes:

MY *** was itching and I told my doctor I had tried every cream I could find. He recommended shaving my butt and get a bidet toilet.

I told him that I would get the bidet toilet but I was not going to shave my butt.

The Bidet is worth every damn penny. If you ever get one for your home, you will never ever go back to using toilet paper or even wipes. Don't go cheap and just get the seat top like I did. Go ahead rip out the old toilet, toss it and spend whatever it takes to get a legit Bidet toilet. My seat top was about $500. I would gladly have paid the $1200 for the full toilet if I had it do over again. Mine works fine but it's not stable enough fit.

Last point, I still ended up shaving my butt and I finally cleared up and healed. Damn it sucks to get old. It's not like I did anything fun or otherwise to cause it. My damn digestive trac was messed up and that is no fun either. Did I mention getting old sucks?

Just renovated my bathroom and installed a bidet toliet (wife wanted it). I thought it was stupid, but now, I hate s**ting anywhere else. It is amazing.

my yearly expense for safety razor and shave soap probably comes out to less than $ 5.00/yr

Exactly what I do. No need to make it complicated

For $5 or $50 it's strictly about preference. Not money.
totally agree....I was a Mach3 fella for many a year........All I can say is, if you have a little patience, and learn the intricacies of using a safety razor, you will totally realize it is the only way to go. I've been using for the past year and a few months, and wish I had made the change in my 20's instead of 50's

I think the merits of a bidet deserves a thread of it's own, and this is not the thread for that......

Drawing a parallel between/w shaving your *** and your growing a beard, and related shaving needed for a beard just does not work.

Having said the aforementioned, I can only imagine the level of joy a fella gets in taking a massive dump, and then using a bidet to wash one's backside followed by a proper neck shave

Speaking of neck shaves, this is a MIZZOU player from the "lookalike" thread. Someone needs to introduce him to the concept of a neck shave, and probably should go all the way to the toes from the look of it

I finally figured out that shave gel was clogging my bathroom sink drain, so I had to go back to old style shave foam.
