That we had a great week of practice. That is his go-to after a terrible loss. It is simply not possible. UK went toe-to-toe with Bama for the first half. FSU for the whole game. We got our doors blown off. It just is not conceivable that we practiced well this week. He makes himself look foolish when he says that.

The thing is, I think he always believes it.

How can each unit not have a great week of practice when they're playing against each other? 😄

At this point, I question if he knows what a good practice looks like.

I am a little slow on the draw to comprehend some things, however, it is my opinion his post games are essentially scripted. I enjoy listening to Coach Briles share some of his insight, but Beamer just says the same old stuff each and every time. He got away with it more last year and his first couple of seasons as Satterfield and Shula were plain boring and essentially clueless. Shula would just babble/mumble on about abstract/nothing bs, I was starting to expect him to mumble about his red stapler.

The last thing I want to hear from Beamer in the postgame:
- Sellers is good to go for next week.
Post game Beamer: "Like anybody, he’s got to make some plays that he’d like to have back, but he gave us a chance with his arm and his legs." Sellers is his man to the end.

"Got to play better - Got to coach better. We haven't been good enough; that starts with me"

I haven't see/heard the post-game or Sunday night..... But I imagine some semblance of the above was uttered. I'm soooo tired of hearing that!

We've got to be better in all 3 phases, and that includes coaching.

He got ahead of it this week by declaring yesterday that we had a h*ll of a practice.

I'm not sure what his angle is by always saying we practiced great. I can distinctly Spurrier lamenting after a loss how he was leery of a poor performance due to lackluster practices in the week leading up.

Beamer is always shocked, though, by poor performances. I don't think it's a good look to be perpetually surprised by bad losses.

Bonus phrase I don't like from Beamer after we get destroyed in a game: "Well, first of all, credit to _________. They have some amazing players."

We know. Every decent team in the SEC has really good players. Eventually we need to beat some of them.

It isn't news to anyone that Beamer is, and always has been, in over his head as a head coach in the SEC. He's a cheerleader and a front man but not really a serious head coach.

I've never been to a practice, but I'm sure they are full of cheering, clapping, jumping, back slapping and encouragement by Beamer. I imagine every practice looks good to him.

The one I hate?? I have to look at the film.

That’s just a stalling tactic. We also saw how we looked. We all know what was good. We all know what was bad.

I hope he _does_ say "We're not surprised! We beat this team by 22 points last year!"

Hopefully he says that after the game and not at halftime.
