Good news, but it's become like "Water is Wet" with A'ja. Expected every year. We can wallow in the problems of our football program or move on. I know I am a home loss to Kentucky from checking out on the football team for this year.

She made a fool of herself last night
Yup...she lost it. I noticed the significant other of the guy that was taunting Wilson, grabbed him and made him sit down.
Unfortunate incident, but I guess it's a thing now to go to a women's sporting event and taunt female players from the sidelines. 🙄

Fans heckle players/coaches all the time, in all sports. Why should they not be allowed to heckle at WNBA games?

No. Here is the best angle of it.

Wilson fouls, the guy gets up, points and yells and then sits back down on his own (nobody restrained him or pulled him back down).

Wilson said he was walking towards her, which he was clearly not. A fan sitting close by says the man simply yelled "It (the foul) is on you!" No profanity. No racist or sexist language. Just a simple statement of fact, as the foul was indeed on her.

This does not even scratch the surface of invectives male athletes/coaches are subjected to.

Don't agree. Paying for a ticket doesn't give you the right to say whatever to the players. It's one of the things that annoys me when I go to games. I don't know about the WNBA, but I know from purchasing NBA tickets that there are warnings indicating that abusive, racist, or sexist language can result in dismissal. I don't know what was said either way. All I know is A'ja ended up getting a tech for the exchange.

I'm not sure saying "the foul's on you" qualifies as abusive, racist or sexist. I guess in the ?NBA, the estrogen level creates stronger hurt feelings.

I never said fans should be able to say whatever. In this case, impartial eyewitness accounts show the man only said "It (the foul) is on you!" and the Fever acknowledge no rules were broken. So nobody thinks the man said anything objectionable.

I guess it just confuses me. The WNBA players want to be treated like NBA players. However, if a fan dares to even slightly criticize them...or in this case point out a simple fact that a certain player did, in fact, commit a foul....they lose their minds and demand special treatment. Lebron James probably got cussed out and heckled at every road game he played in, but he never lost his junk about it.

Interestingly, ESPN is not showing this angle.

Wonder why not?

We have an eyewitness account that the man only said "It (the foul) is on you!". But you don't believe that. I'm willing to bet if there was an eyewitness stating that something racist/sexist were said that you'd suddenly believe the eyewitness.
Really, man? An Indiana fan is going to take A'ja Wilson's side of the events? This happens too much in Indiana, NBA and now WNBA. Some incident happens with a fan and witnesses say, Oh no, nothing happened. I do know that Indiana and Utah have reputations for issues with players. None of us know what really happened. So, it's best to stay neutral. It's like me running with a version from a Las Vegas teammate. Whatever was said, I did see the guy step too close to the court. Security should have pulled him back for that.

It was the pointing. Now that it's been shown he didn't say anything racist/inflammatory, we need to come up with another excuse.

What would the ?nba be without manufactured drama?

I have no idea who the eyewitness was a fan of. But in your claim to remain neutral, you automatically assume he's an Indiana fan b/c being otherwise wouldn't fit the narrative you want. If it was a known Aces fan saying he heard the guy say something racist, you wouldn't dismiss it "because of course an Aces fan would take Wilson's side". Neutrality would be out the window.

And, as noted above, there's a reason the leftist outlets aren't showing the video angle where you can actually see what the guy does. Because it doesn't fit the narrative.

This is how it always goes with these kinds of things. IF the guy had said something racist, it would be all over the place. But when he doesn't say something racist...and when nobody is even alleging he did...it's "well, we really don't know what was said."

You don't see the lady in the red hat pull on the guy's arm?
You don't see the guy step forward and point?
It's called "taunting"...deal with it.

You're correct, I missed the lady grabbing his arm, but he was not moving forward. He had taken a small step forward but had stopped.

It's laughable that this counts as "taunting". And even so...so what? Stuff 10x worse than this happens in every NBA game every night.

Yeah, it's hilarious that Wilson said "You don't know me to point at me!"

Who knew pointing was such an egregious act.

You are the one bringing race into this my friend. Race is not the only thing that can trigger an ejection. I went back and watched Wilson's postgame presser to get what she perceived. The guy walking towards the court and pointing is what triggered her. Depending on what city you are in that can get you ejected from a game.

"what she perceived" That's good and vague.

From the Aces head coach "I can tell you she felt very disrespected in that moment." lol :ROFLMAO:

This is such a woman thing. Wilson can't just admit the obvious "Hey, we were getting our butts whipped and I completely overreacted because I was mad."

Note: the guy NEVER walked towards the court. Not even close. He took a partial step forward and stopped (and it's generous to call it a step because he never left where he was standing). This is bizarre. You people are saying he was walking towards the court when we have live video showing he wasn't.

This reminds me of a couple years ago when some ?nba ladies said a guy assaulted them or scared them while they went from the bus to the hotel.

He used bad language, then he was crowding them or intimidating them.

Then the dude released the video from the phone he was holding. Standing 10 feet back, polotely asking a question as they walked by.

The ?nba doesnt want this to end, or they would sit the player that went into a crowd after a fan who did nothing wrong. Even stadium security brought him right back.

So the video shows him doing nothing wrong, security doesnt think he did anything wrong, a witness already said that he didn't say anything wrong.

But he pointed.

And she flipped out. And the ?nba will defend her.

That guy was not taunting Wilson. Go really watch the tape. He took a half step sideways as the ref was calling a foul, pointing at Wilson shouting that’s on you. That’s on you. Of course the ref called it on Hull.

I figured Asia would come up with some racial crap, but she portrayed it as a man charging her lol. It was a fan doing what a fan does. She came from the foul line towards that guy, and he had simply stepped to his right and forward a half step. He was pointing and shouting the fouls on you. For her to go off shows entitlement. But her press conference was even more embarrassing. But in true WNBA fashion, they will all rally around her plight because of how her grandmother had to endure racism. Blah blah blah blah.

I would say “that’s on you” or “that fouls on you” is allowed in most college high school and NBA games. That guy wasn’t taunting her. There’s plenty of views. It was a joke that they threw him out. There’s a vast difference between Aaliyah Boston and Asia Wilson.

Getting out of your seat, leaving your row and moving toward the court is aggressive.
Had he stood up, stayed in front of his seat and pointed and yelled, he would have been fine.

Yes, what he said does not qualify as taunting.

Video evidence shows he was not walking. It shows he barely even took a step.

He did point. That seems to be the point of contention.

It doesn't sound like you've seen the actual video.

Can you look at this and say what he did was "aggressive"?

If Wilson hadn't overreacted and lost her mind, nobody else in the entire arena would have even noticed the guy.
