The way we need to play is not how we play.

No, we do not play that way; we are quick score and explosive offensive.
However, I did see some of that against SC as we were milking clock in 4th Q. Basically letting play clock tick down to <5 before snapping the ball.

I would love if the game we played was to shorten the game as much as possible. Long sustained drives that take up 8 minutes with TDs at the end. I am not sure if we can play like that or Lebby would even think to play that way. The defense just doesn't need to be on the field for long periods of time.
He did that last year against good teams. He’s done it occasionally this year too situationally, but not much. It’ll be interesting to see if he thinks we have talent to hang and goes for it vs slows it some today. I expect him to start fast, but he also mentioned establishing run in an interview.

Yeah, he did it on one of the Missouri drives too in the second half. He very intentionally did it a couple games last year

Thats the crux of the problem people have with Lebby's system. It is very hard on the defense and the OL. They don't just get tired, they are prone to injuries.

But here we go. After the next 4 games maybe we'll know who is right.

It will be predicated on the score obviously. Attempted quick strike if we are playing catch up or close. If we have a 3 touchdown lead we will try to bleed clock. C'mon man

Hard to disagree, but at the same time, our run heavy grind it out offenses of years past didn’t exactly get the job done against Bama very often either.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I say put the pedal to the 17n metal, and let’s put those clowns on the mat early

Through 1 quarter it doesn’t matter if the D is rested, because they’re just outclassed.

I hope something changes soon.

That's why you didn't want them on the field. Need to make it so they only have to make one stop.

Of course it doesn't matter if you spot them 14.

He did it in the 2nd half against Minnesota.

It’s actually exactly how we play— we always fold to Alabama in big games— what tf do you even mean….lol clown

Nah, we don't have the line play to sit on the ball and win. We'll win bombing the crap out of it. Hard to do anything with all the injuries we've got.
