People didn't think the passion would carry over to football but all we needed is a little spark.

Hopefully the administration takes note, it’s time to allocate more funds to football and less on basketball. The return will be greater and give us a chance to keep Stein for a long time.
1 program is fun with a lot of excitement, 1 is not.
I'm sure they actively monitor the composition of the posts on this board and base many important decisions off what their research shows.
Football’s always brought in the money.
Give us something to root for, and we will show up.
This boards traffic is nothing compared to old place but both major sports get a lot of talk.
Kentucky fans have always been good football fans. We never get a good reputation because we care about Basketball but we have hardcore fans who have always shown out even though we are usually terrible. Now that we are good and have excitement, people will see how many love football here too.

We need to allocate as many resources as possible to Football I agree, but we also need to keep basketball with the most resources as they need. Maybe withhold some because of a lame duck coach, but when we hire a good one again neither program should have to want for anything. Football investment will pay off huge though if we do it.
I like to look at it as allocating funds to each sport that makes the most sense due to economy of scale.
Or Pope can get his **** together and make it work like he is supposed to. That’s what needs to change.
Barney reached retirement age and retired. This idea that he was actually secretly fired makes little sense. If they decided to fire him why keep it a secret?

I've said Pope must find a a way to improve results but a fair assessment that considers the hand he has been dealt shows he has actually done a pretty solid job so far.
He's won some really good games. But also had some really bad clunkers.
Losing that game to Ohio St by 20+ was just inexcusable. The getting down by double digits in the first half can't happen more than once this year. That happened so many damn times it was infuriating. Last year's team could've had 4-5 more wins if it weren't for that.

It took Cal until year 7 to lose his 14th game by double digits.
Yeah harder schedules and injuries. We get it before u know who preaches at us. But still unacceptable n 2 years.
I vote to give Stein a Cadillac and Pope a cigarette lighter. Then let’s see how things shake out.

I was making a joke about the admin monitoring this board and making decisions based on our postings.

We were projected to get 2-3 wins high side of 4.... We have almost doubled that in his first year that's right first year..... 1st in the SEC this late in the year with a 52.5 % chance of making the playoffs and oh by the way #1 hardest schedule in the country..... Bite on that for a little while.................................... You knock on Stein all the damn time but prop 62% Pope up I just don't get it..... I want to see Pope succeed I really do but this is it for him he doesn't make a long run in year 3 it's see ya later...... If Stein can build a football program in year 1 this quick it doesn't take 3 years to build a 5 player basketball team it just doesn't especially not at UK with his bank roll....
I have never "knocked on Stein", I just dont slobber all over him like he is Nick Saban after winning 7 games. He is doing a great job, but we have folks on here talking about giving Stein a $120M contract, lifetime contracts, cutting basketball NIL....Reactionary. Bite that
We have hope with football. We have zero hope with basketball until Pope is gone. Throw everything at football until we get a good coach in hoops. At that point, we can worry about taking the top spot back in college hoops.
Yeah I just read few times a day. The old board I checked every hr of the day and Cat fans lived around the world so any breaking news or such was posted fast. I haven't giving this board the same attention but we all gotta hangout somewhere. I use the Dallas Cowboys fan zone board alittle but both my teams are tough to give much attention to.
