Causing extensive flash flooding that led to some high water rescues with water in streets and homes. Their drought has been busted.

Below is the automatic alert post our system makes on Facebook and X. We are still looking for a sponsor for it if a business is interested. During the overnight hours it still managed 7,600 views. These go out whenever a watch, warning, or advisory is issued anywhere in MS and select counties in the adjoining states. If you'd like your logo on this graphic shoot me a DM. Some of our alerts during severe events have gone over 20,000 views in a few hours.

Got another good rain chance coming up Tuesday night into Wednesday. This is hopefully the beginning of a pattern change into the winter El Niño.
They keep saying it’s going to be a cold wet winter. And I do think it will be. But after the last 2 months it just seems hard to believe. We’ve had so many false hopes for some rain that disappears before it ever gets here

Damn! Wish a couple of those inches have fallen at my house. Would be more than I’ve had in 2 months.

We got over two inches here which is great…if they had forecasted it that way. We’ve got equipment parked all in the fields because it wasn’t supposed to rain

El Niño typically favors a warm wet winter, but we've got something interesting going on. We're in the process of a SSW or sudden stratospheric warming. The earliest on record. What that does is allow for shots of arctic air to spill southward. Right now that could start between Thanksgiving and Christmas. What will have to be watched is we have a pattern that should favor frequent storm systems moving across the region, and if any of them happen to coincide with one of those shots of arctic air coming down. If they do...

Arctic air spilling down is quickly becoming more and more the norm. For reasons that would Upset a lot of people if I posted them.

Looking wet this winter here in Central Texas. You might get a little more stormy than we do.
