And placed them Squarely in Miami's spot (we will just pretend that Miami is somewhere else) everything else equal does SC win the ACC?

Their usual scrub teams. Stanford? Clemson, Pitt, UNC, Notre Dame, V tech, Boston college, and the mighty Duke blue devils ...
Does anyone doubt even a little that South Carolina or a UK couldn't be a playoff team regularly with that?

They say Miami has the #1 SOR where? Notre Dame?!?

Miami’s opponents are a whopping 1 game over .500. There is zero chance they have the #1 SOR. Half of their wins are against teams with a losing record. Their only good win of the year is at wake forest. It’s a flawed metric if they have the #1 SOR.

They are a talented team but as you said they played a crap schedule AND needed refs to hand them two of those games.

For my money Malachi Toney is the best player in college football and I'm not sure its even close.

It is between him and Jeremiah Smith for sure

Definitely those two but I really don't think it's even close between them. Toney is just unstoppable. Smith will give you some wow moments but Toney can win a title almost single handedly, as he almost did last year even though he should've been a highschool senior.

I think Smith is the better WR. Rooney is the better football player.

The other advantage of playing a weak schedule, is the health of your players.
When you have to play an SEC team week after week, you're going to get worn down and beat up. If you do make the tournament, you're not going to be as healthy as an ACC team that has played mediocre teams all season.
Miami is definitely a really good team though.
