Thanks, my friend. Winning the games we should have won the last two years. Weak conference, so we’ll see what the playoffs hold. A bye would not be good for Thomasville, but we likely will get one.
How do you really know who’s gonna be good a year (or two) before the game? And then to try to predict who your opponent will play in advance? Most schools are lucky to fill out their schedules a year or two ahead of time. Just because college teams can do it doesn’t mean high schools can, or...
My friend, if there’s ever a buyer for all that knowledge rolling around in your brain, Elon Musk had better move over. If that happens, please remember your friends in low places😁.
Hope your Wolves win out!
Good point. Exactly why only a team’s record and opponents’ record should be included in the formula for the playoffs. You have little control over how good your opponents are, much less how good their opponents are. Especially now that transfers play such a large role.
Better than I deserve, brother. Hope you are as well. I’m sure you can infer where the communication error occurred and who caused it. Same old stuff. Wasn’t on the Bulldog end.
It will never change as long as we adults continue to glorify it under the guise of “parental choice”. And as long as we allow the legislature to continue to demonize and intentionally undermine traditional public schools. I really hoped the ‘80’s and the “me generation“ had run its course. But...
Thomasville lost to that same Monroe team, 19-18 in 1989. And in 1990, lost the state championship 14-6 to Clinton after squeaking by you guys. Some good football back then.
Thomasville’s superintendent resigned tonight, effective 4/27. Apparently under pressure with a payout. Less than two years. For those who want to think the school board isn’t calling all the shots, think again. Dumpster fire.
