    UNC Women's Soccer 2026-2027

I don't remember us trying the long ball in this game. As in a pass over the top from the back line or from anyone at or near our defensive 3rd. I am not saying it did not happen at all, but I do not remember it. Part of that was Ville playing a low block quite a bit, but it is certainly not...

Totally disagree on the second goal. Yes, it is a fluke that it went directly into the net. But it is not a fluke that it was a turnover. Your goalie cannot have a miss hit, just like your back line cannot have a miss hit. Turnovers and loose balls at the back line are usually fatal because...

    2027 Recruiting

De’Andrea Minor has eliminated NCSU They appear to have wiffed on the entire domestic top 50 class after last year snaring one (#31 Pruitt) their roster for next season has a ton of holes. They will have to place a heavy focus on the international recruits and transfers Edit, their best...

    UNC Women's Soccer 2026-2027

Thayer had a bad game today, no doubt. She immediately ran to Munson to give her i big hug at final whistle, which was probably telling. She has had a great season though. I don't mind rotating goalies as a season plan, but not something you start at tournament time. Gundry has made...

Two players back from USA, Devey back from injury. This is the level of substitution we saw in the brief periods of time most of the roster was available.

    2026-27NCAA general scores and news

there was a discussion in the preseason whether Michigan, LSU and/or dook really belonged in the conversation as a top team on par with the top 3 (UofSC, UConn & USC) or if there was a clear separation. Michigan just made the claim of "yes. Yes we do."

Xu and Mayew both advance to R16: Xu vs #5 seed Alexandrescou of dook. Mayew vs Bain of UPenn. Xu/Raitu win doubles and advance to quarters vs a UPenn duo. Shinner/Mayew fall, I do not see them in the consolation draw?

Oh. Oh no! I am pretty sure that she tried to reclassify to 2026 to play at UNC this year. That fell through for some reason and probably will be the missed opportunity for her to suit up for UNC. I will keep her on the recruit list for now, absent full confirmation she will not defer her...

    UNC Women's Tennis 2026-2027

Both UNC doubles teams win R16 at Sectionals; on to QF tomorrow. In singles UNC struggled: Hamilton & Evans both fell to lower ranked players. Avery Nguyen & Frey had a tough draws and also lost in 3 sets. Hamilton, Frey and Evans both withdrew from the consolation draw so perhaps some are not...
