And JB should and would get DT-level $$ at Iowa.

STORY - Jacob Warner hired as "temporary assistant coach" to fill vacant position on men's staff (full-time hire is expected in May)

Good for JW. Seems like a great young man.

    2026-2027 Projected Lineup and Thoughts

I have a vivid memory of this because it was on the precipice of everything shutting down for COVID. Plus, I had never seen lines that long for the men’s restroom as everyone was washing their hands thoroughly. Hope you are doing well also.

That’s 3 AA’s for the Hawks! I predicted 3 earlier in the season so it’s all gravy from here.

    Day 2 Session 3 Thread

For those frustrated by the strategies employed against the Hawks (and the Hawks employ those same strategies by the way), that is why I would prefer NCAA to switch to freestyle for men’s wrestling. Too much hanging on and not enough wrestling.

    Day 2 Session 3 Thread

I have some critiques from my couch, but overall Dean and Drake wrestled well and got beat by a better wrestler. All four semi finalists at 133 are freshmen.

Great effort from Dean. But, don’t ever, ever, ever try to roll in ride outs. Always, always, always go up and out!

Mixed bag on backside, some upsets don’t favor Hawkeyes

I was looking at brackets and 133 is a great example of one of my frustrations with the seeding process. The bottom half of the quarter final is ALL wrestlers from the B1G. None in the top half. I realize there isn’t a good or fair way to separate these conference wrestlers after two rounds...
