PREVIEW/THREAD: Four Hawkeyes set to compete at U23 Worlds this week

I returned mine to Rudis used and they actually accepted it and gave me my money back.

Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

I'd circle 2028. A lot of eggs in the SL 2028 for Gold basket.

And talk about an athletic program with $$ problems.

Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

Agreed. It takes both. A dynamic leader and tremendous resources to complete at the highest of the highest levels. My sense is that raising the $ for the college team and its coaching staff is not the issue. It is the RTC funding where the difference is like 3 (OSU and PSU): 1(IA). Of...

    Open Practice, 9/12/26

No, sorry, missed that. By the time i figured out who he was, he was already on a bike. One other item. Kennedy Blades was there. Not much action during the period that I was there. But a treat to see her nonetheless. She had a workout partner but, other than that, I didn't see any of...

    Open Practice, 9/12/26

A couple of observations (my wrestling knowledge is admittedly JV): - When they say there are five minutes left in practice. That means more like an hour and five minutes! Did best of three takedowns at about 1:30 (stated end time for practice) and I don't think we left until 2:15 or so. -...

AJ going to be a Hawk?

I was with her the night before she parted ways with McCaffery. She didn't tell me the plan but she laid out a comprehensive understanding (er...indictment) of the state of the bb program and plan for moving forward. It included a comprehensive look at facilities, NIL, fundraising, the coach...

AJ going to be a Hawk?

I am in favor of bringing AJ in. However, Beth is smart enough that if she kills it, it should cause all of us in favor of it to question our own judgment and defer to her. She’s that good. And she cares about wrestling and Coach brands knows that too

    Portal April 1st

Would you say Kennedy, Keuter, Arnold and Ayala? I think Cael has an eye for the nuance and subtle differences that are the difference between a Josh Barr and a Gabe Arnold (similarly ranked recruits with differing results out of the gate). DT seems to have it too. Jax is easy. But the focus...

    Portal April 1st

Not saying coaching isn't a factor...its probably "all of the above". But if I had to pick my coach's "super power", it would be the eye for talent. That is what blows me away about Cael. Kasak was a high level recruit (too lazy to look up the actual ranking). But I don't recall anyone...
