    Real American Freestyle

Was hoping to see more offense from Ono but his defense is incredible. He was never in any danger and controlled the mat. Would like to see him wrestle Jax next.

Penn State legend David Taylor on his Oklahoma State program possibly facing the Lions one day: 'We’ll save one date every year'

I wish they would have a yearly dual with Oklahoma State but it would have to be held at state college until the cowboys win one. Might take 15 years or so for it to happen though.

Next head coach other than Cael to win a team title.

Whoever takes over as head coach of Penn State when Cael retires is the most realistic answer.

    Mikey Caliendo - 4x AA 2x Finalist

At least with Caliendo graduating, we won’t have to hear how the gap is closing between him and Mitchell anymore. Their last match showed the true distance. Sad thing for him is that he could have won two national titles if Mitchell wasn’t wrestling.

    Dare I call it……PEAKING!!!!!!

Tom and Terry did a great job of getting their wrestlers to peak at the right time. I hope they each get well deserved 10 year guaranteed contract extensions! As long as they keep their recruiting guru Bobby Telford of course.

    Booing at Carver Hawkeye

I would gladly trade you the fans “woooing” for 10 year olds shouting “We are” every 5 minutes.

    National Duals, '25, thread

Was hoping for a stall out but the tech fall was nice. I could be wrong but I don’t think Iowa is going to win this dual.

    '25 U23 World Championships, 10/20-27 thread

Remember the old saying on the Iowa wrestling board “It’s a great time to be an Iowa wrestling fan”? Well now they get to cheer on the 7 Penn State wrestlers representing the USA as if they were their own. So I guess this is actually the best time to be an Iowa wrestling fan.

'25 Senior World Championships, Sep. 13-21

The Levi match was a glaring example of why I can’t stand freestyle wrestling. Usmanov did absolutely nothing ( not even a fake shot) and somehow got two points for passivity on Levi. Then he stalled, got some ref help with an early stoppage, faked an injury and would not get back to center...

Spencer got the first point and was dominated afterwards. The Romanian looked much stronger.
