Rest of season is irrelevant and this was a top 5 worse loss in KF era disaster

You're forgetting that he cried after the Michigan win. Crying = automatic 5 year extension in Iowa.

FWIW - #2 BYU Is in Double Overtime @ 3-3 UCF

BYU has a win against Notre Dame. We haven't beaten anyone except a Michigan team that keeps losing and losing.

    Hank and Heck Ain’t it….

That ball needed to be lofted to allow the receiver time to get under it. He tried to dart it, like hello, it's a fat TE trying to curl around a dude, it's not Diaz.

Notice how successful the QB read was..........

There were 10 times that we handed it off into a wall that if the QB had kept it it goes for 5 or 10+ yards. Cool stuff.

Rest of season is irrelevant and this was a top 5 worse loss in KF era disaster

Neither have I. This game was cursed, we even fumbled on a late punt return that would've maybe won it. We even had a penalty giving the other team 7. On their last drive, we should've blitzed and forced a quick decision, instead we rush 4 and he finds a zone failure for 40 yards. So even though...

    Hank or Heck?

He made quite a few throws where guys didn't have separation, like the one to Diaz that got reviewed. It's also important that he SEE the wide open receivers, which he did every time. How many times have we seen QBs stare down one guy and miss the wide open guy breaking away downfield? A lot. It...

    Hank or Heck?

Hecks ball was right on the money all day. That matters. Even his incompletions weren't inaccurate, they were hitting hands and put in places away from the defender. His speed and agility and processing time are better than Brown. He is not worlds better than Brown but he's better. Browns...

LJ Phillips slow to get up after missed roughing call, any word on him?

On replay When a ref doesnt call something like that and the game is decided, it's time for one of our players to fling their qb into the ground after the next play. That's 100% on the ref at that point and KF shouldn't mind one bit.

    Hank or Heck?

You mean like when Hank struggled vs ISU, Michigan and OSU? Heck should not be subject to different rules, it's his job now. The offense has gone from stagnant to scoring on practically every drive since his insertion in the OSU game. He is clearly better and even if he struggles I'm leaving him...

    Heck

Small sample size but Heck was throwing dimes on time today. Passed the eye test, give me the next Drew Tate pls.

Why try a 50 yard FG in that situation?? what would you do

Yeah but then you only need a long FG to win, to score a winning TD is 40 more yards with limited time. If we had been down by 6 instead of 5, or if it had been 4th and shorter, I'd agree with you.

Lol. After Kirk got stupid, Michigan said, “Hold my beer!”

I've seen much dumber decisions than that. Getting a second field goal to win is easier than getting a TD to win. Much easier. And it was 4th and 6, not 4th and 2.

The "let's list all the changes we'll see" after halftime thread

Just another Ferentz year of great defense and **** offense.

This should have been the Clown game

The more frustrating part of it is that Iowa should be at 0 TDs allowed through first 3 games, which is impressive. Instead, the refs missed a massive hold ISU's only TD https://www.on3.com/boards/threads/isus-only-td-was-a-massive-hold.8987025/#post-189738129

ISU's only TD was a massive hold

defender chose the right side to take the edge away, but the ISU player just egregiously holds him for 3 seconds, horse crap miss in a tight game.
