    Kansas adds Trey Kaufman Renn

They can sign whoever they want and the BXII commish will not step in. Sankey...on the other hand...

Six major conference commissioners urge a Louisville judge to reject an extra year of eligibility for athletes who entered college in 2022.

It's amazing how unaware people are of college sports history. Sankey was the Chief Officer of the NCAA's investigation that took six....six years to come to a conclusion. https://alumni.unc.edu/news/ncaa-no-significant-violations/ My guess is that you were alive when the decision made...

I suspect Sankey is liked by a lot of folks...I'm not one of them. The way he let Carolina off the hook - scot free - for their academic fraud is a crime for which he should be hammered unmercifully.

This article debunks Rafters JMI takes

It debunks nothing. It's such a sound, revolutionary arrangement that university athletic departments all over America have embraced it...

    Guess what?

    Oh my...

    Yaxel Lendeborg

That UK's arrangement with JMI is not helping UK or Pope recruit. It is hindering it.

    Yaxel Lendeborg

First, I don't believe Yaxel for a second. Secondly, Yaxel committed to Michigan on April 5, 2025, signing on May 27. The JMI extension with Kentucky Athletics causing the problems that national folks have written about was signed on August 11, 2025, more than four months after Yaxel's...

We should feel embarrassed right now

It is no fun, Bugs. At all. Like you, I believe Pope shouldn't have been the choice. He was put in a bad situation. Whoever followed Cal would have been. If it is true about his inability to close recruits, hampered by JMI, his wholesale changes during games, crazy lineups, and post-game...

Coach Cal will claim yet another SEC title tomorrow

Thanks, ITVI. My suspicion is that we both are a bit long in the tooth. I have Rupp's autograph. I have my father's 1948 & 1949 scrapbook of UK basketball. I've given several articles to Jon Scott for his incredible website. My first basketball heartbreak was the '70 season end against...

When does our Blue Blood status come into question?

Kentucky, Kansas and UNC are BLUE BLOODS. They have been winning and racking up all-time records for d-e-c-a-d-e-s. The Floridas and UCONNs are great today - making them NEW bloods. Florida had a losing record in the SEC tournament all-time until last year for gosh sakes and did not win a title...

    Someone explain to me

My understanding is that both were PR options for visibility while Barney was buying time to look at others. Sure...he would have taken either, but Hurley basically laughed and Drew looked out of courtesy and had his family spend a day in Lexington "just to see." Expensive day, and another miss...

    Someone explain to me

May has been enfatuated with the alure of Michigan as a top - or the top - public school in the nation year after year. The alumni base is something he spoke about when he took the job. He can recruit to the great state university (Izzo is not a happy guy about how things seem to be turning)...

    Someone explain to me

Which is a travesty. Barney has overseen this debacle. Responsible for the destruction of OUR program. Not his. Ours. Thanks for the support, Eli...

Kansas gains another game on all time wins

Entering this season, Kansas had played 130 more games than Kentucky. Kansas had lost 139 more games than Kentucky had. Let that sink in a bit. In my lifetime, my alma mater has won more games than any college basketball program for nearly 18,500 days. UNC and KU have both passed UK for a...
