Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

The fact of the matter is until Iowa quits being second fiddle to PSU and Okie St. in recruiting, they aren't going to beat them. Good coaching with pick of the litter recruits at every weight is unbeatable unless you join them. Good recruiting isn't going to beat great recruiting with all...

    Chances of Bassett leaving VT?

This, Bo and Melvin were going to be studs at Iowa and they will still be studs at VT. I also don't see them staying there for 5 years either.

Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

The gray areas in sports have been pushed for years and until a new rule is put in place to stop it everyone catches on and pushes the envelope. Iowa seems unwilling to do that and it is only hurting/holding them back imo. It is like there is never a "we will look into that and let you know...

Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

I agree that Iowa should absolutely kick the tires with Jordan. The problem is how much it will take to get him. Bob already has stated when Tom is done he is done donating at least big sums of money. Who is going to pick up the difference is the issue. Then you need lots of donations for...

Ok, got to ask. What is BAU short for?!

A look at the preseason Top 10 at InterMat

Lets see if this is the case in February and March. Big difference in pre season rankings and end of the season rankings, especially for in essence a redshirt freshman or whatever that will be called now. Freshman, sophmore, junior, senior, 5th year senior?!?

    Schedule Finally

Agreed, that would be a great team season, which would also mean some great individual results at NCAAs to accomplish a 3rd place finish for the Hawks. Right now PSU and OSU are tier one, with about 5 teams in tier 2 battling for 3rd/4th if you are being realistic. Good isn't good enough...

PREVIEW: Trio of past/present Hawkeyes set for Final X wrestle-offs on Friday

I get why we lost him, but man that one hurts. Kid is a stud and wrestles just like Tom and Terry did. Was a perfect Iowa fit and I would be shocked if he doesn't win multiple titles in both folk and freestyle over the next couple years. Really going to sting if he helps VT catch the Hawks...

    Open Practice, 9/12/26

Mocco will get matches this year, and probably some tough ones early I'd guess.

FLO HS Rankings - Northern Iowa has 2 in the top 10 P4P...

I honestly think most stud recruits feel like they can beat anybody at their weight. All the top teams are loaded at almost every weight anymore, so I don't think that factors into most of their college decisions. None of the top teams are promising any highschoolers starting spots on their...

Terry giving the Cuban fans an FU at the end of the gold medal match...great match...

For sure, both the eye gouge and ball grab happened after the Cuban got taken down and the action was done, especially the ball grab. Just sitting there waiting for the ref to bring them back to the middle and he gave Terry the old reach around. Terry actually did a pretty good job of...

NEWS: 2027 pledge Sonny Amato announces decommitment

For sure. Not something you would just make up. Someone posted the same thing a couple days ago too. Most people aren't like Patty Cakes and just make **** up to fit their narrative. Not something you would accuse someone of doing unless you were certain it happened.

    Recruiting….

The reality is Tom and Terry are very strict, disciplined, demanding, and stubborn. Most of those traits are great to have as a coach, but not all. I'll let you guys decide which ones are good or bad. I can see how they would not mesh well with some recruits. Hell, how many of us would have...
