    Over their last 10 games....

Is Western Mich. counted as a Win or a Loss in that stat? To anyone not a weaselrine fan, it's a loss. 2 of those (4 or) 5 wins are vs. teams having unusually poor seasons - Oklahoma and us. I should be more empathetic to their plight, given ours, but nah.

Check out the schedule for 2028...

We can only hope. I'm of the mindset that they should blow up all conferences for football and non-revenue sports. For football, have two levels of 1A - Power 65 (or whatever) and Group 70 (or whatever), still with one regular season inter-play game between them. But two separate playoffs and...

Pat Narduzzi takes shot at Penn State: 'What did they really do to get in the Top 25?'

He is correct here, it's just odd that he felt the need to take the shot. He is almost as insecure as James was/is. Imo, I think in both cases, it's a contributing factor to their teams not getting over whatever relative hump is in front of them.

Thoughts After Reading About Jim Mora Firing DC Tyson Summers Mid Game

I have never coached, so this is just based on conversations and assumptions. Take it as such. Your perspective is welcome. Coaches come pre-packaged with schemes and overall strategies that they like and have had success with. They do their best to recruit players to fit those schemes, who...

    FC/OT: Is Cory Giger right?

Cory Geiger. Yumpin' Yimminy, right or wrong. Franklin's time here was very successful in many ways, but it was time for him to go one way or another. That was a good break for him, and therefore for us. Campbell is here for a while, unless he leaves on his own. I support him, and want...

    Jay Paterno Gets It Right

I am not defending the arc of Jay's coaching career at PSU, because I agree that ultimately it wasn't what was expected or hoped for. Just pointing out a couple things to balance the ledger a bit - - Jay had coaching experience at UConn and UVa (under George Welsh) prior to coming back to...

More sad news from the 1970s PSU teams - Gary Petercuskie

Gary Petercuskie played 1974-77. I'm not sure when Pete started, but I think his big season was 1978.

More sad news from the 1970s PSU teams - Gary Petercuskie

Gary went to HS in Mass. Hollister, maybe? John's record at Neshaminy was something like 59-1-7(?). Going on memory from reading about it long ago. However long he was there, he had 1 loss. Incredible. @LionJim - Hello to a fellow 1974 HS grad. If you're also a '56er like me, we turn 70 this...

More sad news from the 1970s PSU teams - Gary Petercuskie

Sad news to report - Gary Petercuskie, PSU Safety who played from 1974-1977, passed away yesterday. As told to me, he had dementia, uncertain if it could be CTE related. He was 70. Cuskie was a fraternity brother of mine, an excellent athlete from an interesting football family. Last I knew...

Oh my, terrible news. Matt Suhey has passed away. Link. *

As we Penn State fans know very well.... - Matt Suhey scored a Bears TD in the "left side of the TV screen" end zone in the Super Bowl. - We also know, without a doubt, that he broke the plane of that same goal line on that 3rd down play in the Jan. 1, 1979 Sugar Bowl!

Oh my, terrible news. Matt Suhey has passed away. Link. *

A real kick to the gut this morning. Matt was a fraternity brother of mine, and a good buddy back in the day. He was a favorite player of my young nephew, and always took time to talk with him when he would come up for a game. Matt was genuinely a good guy all around. Got along with everyone...
