    Way to go Spencer!!

So happy to see spencer achieve a long time goal of his. Hate to see a sport take so much yet give so little. I really hope he allows himself to enjoy this one.

Not really similar at all. Either way, it’s time for Spencer to get his.

It may have been unforeseen for Carl to jump to PSU but it was definitely not unforeseen as to how successful he would be when he did. The decade of outdated recruiting and training methods whilst Carl was doing his thing is what has us here.

Congrats to Bo. World champion before his first collegiate wrestling match. Imagine what he could have done for this program…

Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

And PSU with Carl before that. And Gable with Iowa before that…

Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

Iowa needs to make a play for Burroughs. He is the only apparent guy that can move the needle to improve Iowa’s position to get better recruits and woo big $ donors. The program is incredibly stale and has been for some time. Anyone counting on the next few recruiting classes to make a dent is...

NEWS: 2027 pledge Sonny Amato announces decommitment

Their moral standards must be on a sliding scale considering their willingness to fight, recruitment of AJ, etc. Their stubbornness is their defining trait. It is what made them champion wrestlers and it is what is now holding the program back.

NEWS: 2027 pledge Sonny Amato announces decommitment

Would love to know who the high impact guys are going to be and when we can land anyone that will help us do better than 4th place.

And watch him inevitably hurt or kill someone but maybe get a few extra points at nationals to cement 4th place?….

The nuance in trying to hold Iowa wrestling and your child to the same or similar standards. You made a statement that can easily be checked but cannot be bothered to do so. You must not actually believe in what you say here.

    Portal April 1st

Your child is not and should not be held to the same standards as Iowa wrestling… and that is okay. Nuance is not your strong suit. I would love for you to be able to come up with a time where I even remotely said he sucked. I have been very complimentary of his ability as a coach. He simply...

    Portal April 1st

uhh… fans are constantly solicited for $ to fund the program, HWC, etc. Fans are asked to purchase tickets to events - a lot of duals were pretty hard to watch due to lack of aggression and trademark entertaining iowa style action. I don’t recall saying anyone on the team sucks nor have I ever...

    Portal April 1st

The only thing special about Iowa wrestling anymore is its‘ history and its’ fanbase. We are now almost 30 years removed from Gable and excellence. What program demands more from its’ fanbase than Iowa? What does the fanbase ask in return? Talk about entitlement.

    Senior World Team Trials

I’m not ragging on the athletes that are competing. My gripes start and end with the guy at the top that is responsible for the program and its results. I don’t care that other inferior programs would love our roster. We are not other programs, we are Iowa and that means something or at least...
