    2027 Recruiting

Ben has some Magic getting recruits. I have a good feeling about Daughtry. No more losing to Purdue, Illinois, Michigan and Michigan State. I have season tickets over the Losers tunnel at Kinnick. Let's eat garlic and boo them down as they come out - the girls from Ames. The boys and me...

    Quarterback battle thread…

Thinking back on the scrimmage Sat. I think Jeremy Hecklinski is quicker on the draw and Hank is a bit duh - slower. Also, Sports Illustrated had to say bad things about Jeremy - over the past several years SI is quite negative about Iowa football so I will stop reading their articles.

    Quarterback battle thread…

I was there and i agree with Hawkangler - go Hawks. I got Iose Epenesa's autograph on our Hawkeye flag next to A.J Epenesa's autograph. We lived in Hawaii from 2018 to 2023 and went to the Polynesian Bowl. A.J. Epenesa served as an honorary captain for the 2020 Polynesian Bowl on January 18...

    WR's

I met the guys at Brown Deer golf in Coralville. Made my heart sing - wild thing.

What does this have to do with Hawkeyes? Not a thing - ignore this thread. (n)

Who do you want to see win the QB battle?

The starting quarterbacks for the Iowa Hawkeyes during this era were Randy Duncan in 1958, Olen Treadway in 1959, and Wilburn Hollis in 1960. So Tom Moore was a bench warmer - that's why I never heard of him. AI says he was a kicker too. I have Randy Duncan's autograph. And I taught at...

Who do you want to see win the QB battle?

I am one of the oldest Hawkeye fans and proud of it. Played golf 3 days ago at Brown Deer course in Coralville. I got the biggest suprise after I got a par on the 18th hole. These guys were watching my chip on and gave me a cheer.

    2027 Recruiting

With Ben McCollum, Coop, Tree, Howie, Sage, Trey, Trevin, Cam, Combs (not parting), Ty-reek, Joey, Jaidyn and Ethan in the House we can go to bed every night with a smile. It is going to be a FABULOUS 2026-27 HAWKEYE BASKETBALL SEASON.

Just watched final 3 mins. IA over Nebby in ncaas; man I wish Alvaro would have stayed

So you wish Alvaro would stay at Iowa - "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride."

    Caitlin Clark

Well put, Anon. I have compared the women's ability to pass the basketball to my son's team in 6th grade. Kylie tries a bounce pass in to the lane which hits the opponents feet or get intercepted. Hannah missed so many freethrows and Addie Deal (who I thought would be a starter) omg she IS NOT...

    Over passing

My wife and I both agree that it is stupid for a 6' 9" Iowa player to get the ball in the lane four to 6 feet from the basket and then pass the ball out to the 3 point line. Keegan wouldn't do it and Luka wouldn't do it.

    "That's basketball." --Ben McCollum

There is something special about Ben McCollum and the Hawkeye's men's basketball team. I have adopted them. Perhaps it is because Ben was born in Iowa City. He also presents a fine persona on the floor during a game. Yes, I curse them out when they throw the ball to the other team (women's...
