    Agreed. But we have 9 years of HC-body-of-work to reasonably if not safely conclude that was an anomaly. Whereas I think the ability to coach up the defensive side of the equation is real and has some merit.

    Lots of teams have spent $$ and not won at their level or with the same consistency. No different than the NCAA hoops now. Spending helps, but the organization (or for hoops, coach) still have a major impact on winning and losing.
