    Hot crazy matrix notwithstanding, the U.S. population is still growing. Births still outpace deaths. At the current birth rate we're centuries away from any "existential threat" to our existence. That's the reality.

    ...And keeping Paterno on a decade too long. This is why you don't have 80 year head coaches (or elected officials for that matter). I'd say the same if Cael Sanderson wanted to coach past the time when he could roll around on the mat.

    That was my excuse (ha). I'm guessing most of you guys know that growing up in PA in the 80s, Lehigh was the program that was on TV. And obviously it was a good school for engineering. I wasn't a good student and landed at ESU when Cuvo was there. My HS teammate also wrestled at a D1 PA...

    Congrats. I really hope he stays healthy. He's from my backyard and I've been a big fan. Lehigh Valley kids are as tough as they come. Smart kid too.

    As someone who considers the 'let's go pens' horn every 5 minutes one of the most annoying things in sports aside from Gus Johnson (give it a rest guys), as a Flyers fan that 'ignite the orange' thing they rolled out yesterday was super cringe. They need to come up with something better.

    OSU has a much better rep for tech, engineering, math, etc. UofO is better known as a liberal arts school. I have a buddy that went there and his wife got her PhD in music there. I've been to Autzen several times for Ducks games when I lived in WA. Nice campus, fun atmosphere but didn't...

    I was probably too harsh on Sparks. I guess everyone needs a shtick these days and I don't care for his. Still, from an entertainment value perspective I think I'd probably prefer to listen to the clueless "illegal fist to the back" interns than Shane.

    Maybe it's just me and growing up in PA with youth wrestling in the 80s. I never heard anyone talking about slapping, rolling or hitting or anything "resilite". That was my experience. It sounds contrived, corporate, and fake to me as a gen Xer.
