    They have a good QB that kept Minnesota from 8, 9 and 10 man boxes. It’s that simple.

    The clock management was fine. The play calling and execution weren’t. This is a strange argument to make when Minnesota had enough time to ultimately win in regulation.

    Embarrassing

    They weren’t alone. Many were picking Iowa by multiple scores. It was a colossal failure by the team. No way to sugar coat it. It’s the type of game that will haunt these guys off and on their entire lives if it’s what cost them a playoff berth. I still think they lose at least one more game...

    I think to answer your question. They mostly feel like Hank is the safer play but also has the bigger arm and bigger size. Heck is the boom or bust qb equivalent to a streak shooter in basketball. Probably the same rational used as to why Alvaro played so little against Illinois.

    But to answer your question, the teams that have less talent that tend to flank the defensive throw a lot of wide receiver bubble screen screens. I don’t know why we don’t do that more often against boxes.
