    A Thursday matinee away! So very exciting, and she's had some great end of game impacts even when her numbers look generally quiet. Stokes has also come alive in ways I haven't seen all year. The GS Veronicas are a heck of a team.

    It seems to me, and I didn't see the game, that NU's defense really requires both trust and familiarity with both system and fellow teammates. Most people aren't going to pick it up in a month or two. And I don't think new-to-the-team players get there effectively until maybe January at best...

    This is the general conflict, right? Coach needs enough money every year to retain his own guys AND attract competitive recruits. That doesn't have to be in the first few tiers of the article, but it looks like it has to be more than he had to spend this off season or he'd have retained Singleton.

    I must be looking in the wrong place. I checked prices Friday night on the NU/ticketmaster site and there were hundreds of tickets available in the cheap seats pretty much everywhere, starting at $97+fees.
