    I was one of the loudest Cal critics at the end. It was time. That said…had you given me the choice of even THAT Cal and Pope…I’d have chosen Cal without a seconds thought. You could’ve knocked me over with a feather when the Pope news broke.

    How can you not enjoy that? That dynamic is so stupid it's funny. I'd watch a spinoff of just Nate, Dale, Ainsley and Angela doing whatever it is they'd do. Hell, let them live in the house Big Brother style. I'd watch that all day long.

    The issue with that team is still what keeps me cautiously optimistic at best. Even when healthy they were wildly inconsistent. Darned good at times, inexplicably bad at times. I did enjoy that team though.

    Pretty fair. His lack of defensive acumen is going to bite him in the arse. But his offenses are pretty good, especially if the personnel fits. He’s got to find the correct mix of guys that fit his offense that can be more than a small speed bump defensively.

    I always think of adults on a public message board that filter their information are about like cult or militia members. I don’t agree with or care for the posts of many folks on here, but man…the differences make it entertaining.

    You said “great” and then followed it up with a handful of games. Games don’t define greatness, imho. Just like singular games don’t define “sucks”. If we’re gonna use a singular coach (Barnes) let’s not forget Golden or Oats, huh? See what I mean. Cherry picking isn’t fair. Whole body of work is.

    I think our definition differs a bit, but I get the sentiment. Two yrs ago we went to the S16 and were non competitive. That’s why I’m a little more definite in my answers. His two teams and their wild inconsistency is the antecedent to that for me.
