    Bama used zone a lot more early in the game. They were keyed on the short passing game and probably expected Minchey to try intermediate routes. Bama still got pressure bringing only 4. As soon as they figured out that Minchey couldn't beat them over the top, Bama adjusted and did a cover 1...

    The team got exposed. Stein had no answers. Every other SEC defense on the schedule will tee off on us. We'll see cover 1 and cover 0 a lot the rest of the way on first and second down.

    That was a bad call. If you are gonna gamble, make it a gamble with a play that has a shot of conversion. I'm not sure what happened during halftime, but the adjustments that needed to be made didn't happen. And Bama rightly took away any short routes. Dared Minchey to convert the mid range game...
