Has the team made enough progress in 1 year tp keep Beamer another year ?

The new offense seems to be better- albeit with growing pains. This is a google analysis of new offense: Compare university South Carolina footbal offense through 5 games, in terms of run/pass plays, interceptions/fumbles: any trends/causality ? Through the first 5 games of the 2026 season...

I like Beamer. Let's keep him.

"If we accept that we are what we are (And after 130+ years, we simply have to." Defeatism is not the answer. It's corrosive to the soul. Here is a counter argument-admittedly Ai generated. Defeatism is not acceptance; it is a defensive surrender disguised as realism. Believing "we are...

    In defense of Beamer

"Our facilities and resources are middle of the pack in the SEC." Based on your "middle of the pack" logic we should be able to win 50% of SEC gamed every year.

    In defense of Beamer

In this age of portals, a college with top notch facilities/University, one of the most loyal fan bases, a competitive football budget- there should be no excuses for not having a competitive football team every year.

    Prematurely burying Beamer

"this year's team appears to have one fatal flaw: the secondary." That wreak should have been be fixed in the off season; Do they do any kind of serious "stress testing" in the off season ?. "I also remember those were the only games Sellers played well. So that is maybe 4 or 5 games...

Prepare yourselves: we may not win another game

I asked Google AI Based on NCAA football stats through September 26 to predict number points given up by South Carolina against each SEC opponent remaining on schedule Team Location Projected Points Allowed Kentucky Home 31 Florida Gators Away 42 Tennessee...

    LSU going broke to win

For starters- to get value for money spent Admin has to stop giving a long term contract to a football head coach as soon as they show a pulse. Couple that with -don't renegotiate/upgrade compensation before end of current contract.

How important is the Mississippi State game?

Must win for the team to have a chance at a decent season. Must win for Beamer- his tenure is shaky at best - needs to demonstrate that he can move the team to the upper half of the SEC and stay there.

Beamer did good with OC, OL and RB coaches. Now...

Did Donati have a hand in these recent hires? Yes Donati gets most of the credit. By himself Beamer was underwater in terms of his ability to hire top tier coaches. That probably won't change until Beamer (with the aid of the new staff) demonstrates that he is a serious contender in the SEC.

    It's Impressive

It's Impressive that Kiffin left behind a coaching staff at Ole Miss that was good enough to beat Georgia.

Well, Beamer proved us all wrong

Donati was the catalyst here; he showed he could be a difference maker in snagging a high quality OC. Beamer showed his limitations when he hired Shula. Give Beamer credit for holding the line on recruiting.

Making Room For New leadership ?

Offensive line coach gone; running back coach gone; receivers coach to analyst (?) - seems like the administration is clearing the way for a new offensive coordinator ?.

    Donati Should veto This Idea

The article in the State has a December 3 posting

    Donati Should veto This Idea

It's hard to believe we are still advancing the idea of an internal candidate for OC. The following quote from the State newspaper caught my attention: Beamer said. “We’re going to get the best guy in here, whether that’s within this staff, or whether that’s from the outside.” Really ? - after...
