    Bears

I was giving you a very good example of how one game, regardless of when it's played, can determine playoff placement or making the playoffs at the end. Not living like it's 40 years ago because the example is timeless. Many championships and playoff appearances in all sports are won and lost...

My point was, don't be a Chris Collinsworth! LOL

    Bears

What I observed with the league this week so far, was a bunch of guys on defense doing a lot of chasing. In the noon and 3:00 windows, 10 teams scored over 30 points. And in those 12 games, 75 touchdowns were scored too. That's a lot. I know, with the conditions and heat it couldn't have been...

    Bears

You sound like Chris Collinsworth...kind of. LOL. Right before the Cowboys, Giants game last night he said. "If the Cowboys' defense is just average, then you can include them in Super Bowl talk." I just rolled my eyes. LOL. Well, the Cowboys lost. What a shame.

On the bright side the Bears are on pace to score 1003 points this year!

You can't just throw NFL games away and say Meh. There aren't enough of them to do that. Every game counts regardless of where it's played. Whenever I hear someone say or write what you said, my next move is to give them a history lesson to illustrate how important an early season game can...

Interesting start to the season. Low scoring out in Seattle and the 49ers kicked the Rams' butts. I don't see the Bears winning more than 10 games. Defense has issues.

Why do so many people choose broadcasts over going to games?

Well that's fine. They don't like you either. LOL :LOL:

Why do so many people choose broadcasts over going to games?

I don't think you need to explain why you don't attend games anymore. You have been to a hell of a lot of games including season Tix to the Bears. It is time you relax. I just wonder how many games you sat through in brutal weather. Sooner or later our mortality will catch up to all us. You take...

Why do so many people choose broadcasts over going to games?

I think I echo a lot of what I am reading here. I had two sons who played. One at Providence and one at Lockport. They were three years apart, so we were going to a lot of games, home and road. The older one wasn't a starter, but he did get into games. We saw every game, in person. The younger...

    Trae Taylor’s Dad ain’t happy

Agree and disagree. Money, in and of itself, does not ruin things. It's the people entrusted with it who do.

I think we can all agree, it became a joke. Wish we could go back to the good old days. Neil Smith and Kevin Gogan fight at the Pro Bowl (February 1, 1998)

I haven't read all the posts in this thread. But don't be surprised if MC runs the table from here.

    D2 Football?

Pitt State is always good. Same for Ferris. NWMSU is up in the rankings this year as well. I have a good friend who played at Pitt State. Been to Arrowhead to see them play NWMSU more than once. Solid stuff. I do follow D II football. But Illinois has only two D II teams that II am aware of. Sad.
