    Deep Dive Pod with JJ

Came across this podcast with Jan. Always good to hear coach talk in a relaxed setting. She is a great communicator. Great podcast as well.

The Athletic likes our portal gains

Anon is likely very sad because he's 90% on ignore and the last 10% won't reply because they know he's a tool bag. Lonely times when you are frosted off an internet message board.

    Addie Deal enters transfer portal

I can’t speak to emojis but can speak to my reply. You seemed to ask the question simply and honestly. I knew the answer and replied simply and honestly. :)

    *****2026-27 Transfer Portal News*****

Y’all are missing some key points with Addie. 1) she is a year older, in HS that matters a lot. 2) remember her recruitment… she called Iowa. 3)there were gaps/questions with her elite level resume. JJ was right to take a swing on her because even with all those notes she was likely a top 50...

Agree with nu2u… we are going to need a banger. McKenna is going to be a great Hawkeye but she’s going to get eaten in the paint until she adds some bulk. 2-year PF, with emphasis on the P would be my wish.

Hard to imagine a more player respected coaching personality than Raina's. That said, law of averages sez new expectations of culture and performance would likely ruffle a couple of feathers. I think it will take Raina some time to turn the ship... IRRC, didn't she land a bit in between...

    *****Iowa vs Purdue Game Thread*****

I would hope this score might be in control enough to give Deal and Hays some developmental minutes.

Luckily, Jan says (post game) ......

Wut? Our last three top recruits were from the west coast.
