Football Rutgers Football DB Bo Mascoe to enter Transfer Portal

I go to a lot of University of Maine home games because they are near me. When they have a player who breaks out you know he will be gone by the next season. It sucks, but it is understandable given they are an FCS team. The idea that Rutgers is a member of one of the two conferences every...

    This is a Blessing

I think there are two structural things that make it obvious that Schiano will never succeed in his second stint. First is the one you mentioned, about how NIL and the portal have completely changed how teams are built and maintained. What were Schiano’s strengths in his first time at Rutgers...

SEC throwing LSU out of the conference?

You are totally missing the other factors in being a complete independent, that even ND had trouble with. You need a home for your other sports. It’s impossible to build a strong Oct-Nov independent schedule when other schools are all playing conference games. Most bowls sign contracts that...

Football Rutgers Football HC Greg Schiano's UMass Postgame Press Conference

Harasymiak is a real good coach and will end up at a big job. He took Maine, a school in the middle of nowhere in a state with extremely limited football recruiting, to the FCS semifinals.

    OT: Dolly Parton dead

She was no slouch as a songwriter either. She recorded 26 songs that hit #1 on the country charts, and she wrote 25 of them.

    Pre-Game for BC?

The Red Sox have a home game on the 11th. Between that and people just moving around because it is Friday night, the T will be beyond packed.

OT: Division 1 Hockey Recruiting: How Does It Work?

Hockey recruiting is crazy even compared to football. I have season tickets to Maine. They announce a lot of recruits several years in advance, then when that year rolls around only about 1/3 of the kids who were announced end up there and the rest of the class is a surprise. Huge turnover with...

OT: SEC "By Far" Is Best Conference-SEC Coaches Don't Trust CFP Committee

That ship has sailed because everybody has money. That era of dominance is over just like the one with Oklahoma/ Nebraska died

OT: SEC "By Far" Is Best Conference-SEC Coaches Don't Trust CFP Committee

Rutgers doesn’t match the NJ HS football culture, either. Many kids from the parochial schools think they are better than going to Rutgers, and it would be a losing battle to base your recruiting on the idea that you are going to convince a lot of kids to stay home for college when many of them...

Football Rutgers Football's Boston College game date announced

That is my go to for weekend events in Boston, but being that commuters will still be parked there at the time one would get there for the Fri night BC game and the Red Sox are home that night, finding spots might be a LOT tougher.

    OT: USA-Belgium Poll

I was really surprised how easily Pepi was pushed off the ball by Turkey, which is not as physical as some of the other European teams. I would love to see him give Wright a chance. He has been thriving in the Championship, which if anything is more physical (while less skilled) than the...

OT: We may win the World Cup in 2026

That last goal could end up being very important. Finishing 1st in the group and playing a 3rd place team in the knockout round might be a big advantage, and it could come down to goal differential.

OT: We may win the World Cup in 2026

It sucks that Paraguay is rewarded for giving cheap shots by the US having to sub and give up control of the game.

Football PFF releases 2027 NFL Draft big board, featuring KJ Duff in the Top 20

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I believe Duff running in the low 4.5s would make the 1st round pretty likely for him.

Football PFF releases 2027 NFL Draft big board, featuring KJ Duff in the Top 20

London has been slightly disappointing for his draft position, with solid but not great numbers, but when you look closer at his college stats he had the one great year right before the draft that might have oversold how good he was. Duff would definitely be helped by having another very good...
