We are going to be OK

http://kenpom.com/index.php?y=2026 Should be able to just click on the year at the top. Works for me. We were 15th and UConn was 7th. So very similar to Miya’s ranking.

We are going to be OK

Sorry to disappoint. But it appears that ship has sailed again. We were at our best when we did it weekly. Allowed for a lot of the fun standard segments we built in. Plus we could really get into the details of the one or two games for that week. Doing it in larger chunks of games was...

We are going to be OK

Initial take, albeit after only one game. Starters: Copeland - I think he will do very well against the underbelly of the non-conference. Hedged and recovered very well on high ball screens, Sha demands that out of his bigs. Can he stay out of foul trouble and bring more rebounding to the...

    Abdulai Fanta Kabba - Committed

My apologies. I thought I edited my post to reference the “almost” part. But my point was if I have a few guys that I expect to be significant contributors with that experience then I am ok with that. There is no way we expect to have all P5 starters. And it’s funny how we pick and choose...

    Abdulai Fanta Kabba - Committed

I agree with this. would I have loved to have Budd back…Yes would he have enhanced our chances with more shooters around him…most likely Yes. But let’s not forget that Budd shot 46.5% from 2 point range. For as good as his midrange was, combined with his inability to finish at the rim, as a...

All stepping up in class is not a fair statement. Robbie Anderson averaged 11 ppg in the BE last year at Xavier. Plus Wilcher has only played at a P5 level in his 3 years of experience (SJU / TX) I expect Wilcher to start. Anderson is most likely one of the first subs off the bench or could be...

Ex-Iowa coach Fran McCaffery, wife accused of trying to get longtime radio voice fired in brutal allegations

All due respect to McKillop, he had a great run at Davidson and had his fair share of auto qualifiers to the dance out of the Southern / A-10 conference. But he never did coach at a higher D1 level and his only tournament success was tied to Stephen Curry. So why was it a mistake?

Rodney Brown Jr to Seton Hall

Relative to the astronomical increase in requests from top players, even if Sha has a larger total pot of money. (Say $8m instead of $6m). The cost of players did not go up by 25% Clark rumored to have received $700k last year and wanted more than $2.5m this year. I would say he is working...

Rodney Brown Jr to Seton Hall

When you are on a tight budget not every player is going to check all the boxes. some players are going to have to come off the bench and play a specialized role. if his job is to catch and shoot and stretch the D, then that’s his role and it’s a good get from that perspective.

Going to use this thread for SHU portal info

To be fair it’s been ongoing for a while. Under Sha in 2022-23 we had Tyrese Samuel and Trey Jackson play the 5. Tyrese wanted to be a stretch 4 and Jackson was at best suited as an oversized 3. in 2018-19 we made the tourney with Mike Nzei (6’8”) and Sandro manning the front lines. Sandro...

    So far great backcourt .....

ASM did come from Miami too. Although he struggled compared to his mid major time. I view guys as coming from their most recent body or work or where they had the success we were recruiting them based on. Therefore Fischer to me is a guy from Pacifc and not DePaul. Just like Jones is from...

    Simeon Wilcher to the Hall

Well we don’t know that his personality traits are the reason he so NO to the request for a higher amount after the contract was signed. it could easily have been the fact that he had a specific number allocated in the budget for that roster spot and the new ask far exceeded what they could...

    Simeon Wilcher to the Hall

Two things: 1. Can you really blame Sha or any coach / GM for that matter for saying no to someone who conducts a business transaction that way? 2. What are they signing that actually binds them to this contract? If it’s nothing, then I honestly don’t even care that they signed something...

    Hines to UConn?

I don’t believe you could get a universal system in place for that. But I do like the foundation of that idea. I have always believed you have to build the buyout into the player’s contract. Offer two year contracts. And have a buyout if the player wants to leave after year one. why would a...
