Not Brought Up Often, But UK Was Incredibly Close To Beating IU In That 1976 Season

sorry, didn't mean to say benson didn't get the tip. he did from my memory .but I didn't think he got a hand on it. for some reason I thought it bounced off his head or shoulder. anyway I am 67 years old and was probably listening to cawood so who knows. still a painful loss at the time

1966. I remember an article I believe in the courier journal it was on the front of the sports page and said 13-0 and number one and had a picture of the starters walking together. I was hooked

I do remember that one I don’t think benson got a hand on the tip. I remember the ball went straight up and managed to fall thru the rim.
