    It’s the same record on repeat each season: artificially inflated pre-season ranking, wins against no one, moving up in the polls only because other blue bloods are beating up on one another. Then, when they finally do drop a game, they only move down a few spots to remain in the top 10.

    Yes! And because they hired Campbell late (12/5), they had ~1 month to work the portal. I would expect them to rebound in the coming years because they're Penn State and they have money & pedigree. The issue they'll run into is that there's now more parity among college football's elite teams...

    I’m fine with Beamer sticking around. In fact, he should hang around until the end of his contract. That way we owe no buyout, and we can jettison the mess he’s created. He will also have failed so miserably that no school will hire him again.

    Why greater parity historically in MBB than WBB?

    I don’t think it’s much more than a smaller pool of talent to choose from. And I mean no disrespect. Just saying that fewer women playing basketball (specifically AAU, club, etc.) than men = fewer top tier players (naturally) = more consolidation of talent among the top teams.
