List your 5 most annoying tv or movie characters?

Good one. There were several characters in that show I hated, but Wendy takes the cake for sure.

    KEEP POUNDING!

Who are you going to replace him with? I've long been one of Young's biggest critics and will never understand drafting him first, let alone trading away a ransom to do it. But he has gotten better, and franchise QBs don't grow on trees. They already picked up his fifth year option, so you can...

    KEEP POUNDING!

Really good summary of the conundrum that is Bryce Young by ESPN's Ben Solak... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/50278890/week-8-seven-things-solak-thinks-chiefs-trade-goff-mvp#car We're 3½ years into Young's career, and I still don't know exactly how good this guy is. There is no...

    Credit Card Surcharges

Is that just a coincidence? I don't carry dental insurance so don't know much about it. Is his pricing the same for all patients but everyone's insurer may reimburse a different amount and yours just happens to be $3 short? I'm having my own private war with Labcorp that they know nothing...

    Credit Card Surcharges

Yeah, it's just like the tweet I posted above yours mentioned with the restaurant example. Emotionally, I'd rather feel like I'm paying an all-inclusive price instead of getting nickel and dimed on everything. Particularly with credit cards, because it benefits the merchant more than it does me...

    Credit Card Surcharges

Relevant tweet about the psychological effect on consumers. The juice isn't worth the squeeze for businesses; they're just not smart enough to realize it yet. re: airbnb discourse in college I worked as a server at an upscale steakhouse. we had a few different steak sauces that were made...

    Credit Card Surcharges

So what will happen when consumers aren't willing to pay those fees any longer? I don't mind paying in cash, but I'm not going to do it for a business that is charging credit card fees. I'm going to make damn sure they have to deal with a paper trail if they're putting me through the...

    Credit Card Surcharges

Definitely, but IMO it's much more offensive and sleazy to itemize it out like it's a separate tax you have no control over. Credit cards are mutually beneficial for the seller and the consumer. A surcharge makes it very clear that you're not willing to share the expense, but have no problem...

    Credit Card Surcharges

Good for you walking out on them! The experience that lead me to make the post was a $95 surcharge on a dental surgery this morning. I didn’t have my debit card on me or even think much about it until it was too late, but I think I was in shock that a professional business would throw that on...

    Credit Card Surcharges

When and why did this become so commonplace? I find this just as despicable a business practice as asking for tips for non-traditional services because you don’t want to pay your staff more. Credit card companies have always charged you fees, and you have always baked them into the price. I’ve...

    Hedgepeth Murder Trial

Had forgotten all about it but re-read up on it last week when the trial started. You can cast a lot of doubt on pretty much any trial...except for DNA. He's cooked, as he should be. That said, the roommate stuff was just an incredible amount of bad coincidences for that girl. If she's 100%...

He didn't lace them up in Asheville or Utah.

    FORE!

I don't really think that's it. It's a one-off event in Japan. Last event was in Utah. Next event is in Bermuda. Most of those guys skipped Asheville and Utah, which would be a lot cheaper travel costs if they were just in pursuit of points. The purse is $2M more ($8M vs. $6M), but that doesn't...
