Franklin “Had to Go…” Here’s Why We Needed Him to Stay

Not just uncompetitive, but Krafty The Clown PAID UP to make us uncompetitive That's actually one of the best lines I've ever seen on this board. It is so true!

Franklin “Had to Go…” Here’s Why We Needed Him to Stay

I said it last October and I'll say it here again this October. Over the next 5 years, James Franklin will win more games and have more playoff appearances at VT than his successors at Penn State - Matt Campbell and whoever follows Campbell after his firing in 3 or 4 years.

I wonder if Coach Cambell should have focused on keeping last year's roster together...

and for 2027, we are recruiting at a #22 ranking ... 3 spots behind the guy we fired last year who took over a disaster of a program.

Rooting for Pitt or Virginia Tech on Friday night?

A successful JF at VT isn't a good thing for Penn State. The optics of JF winning more games at VT than MC winning at PS isn't going to help us at all. Plus, JF will lock down recruiting in the VA/MD area - while MC is out chasing kids in Iowa and Nebraska.

Film Study - PSU's Lack of Explosive Run Plays

From what I've personally seen ... Nate made a great point the other day ... 3 head coaches (JF, TS, and MC) have all seen QM live and in person much, much, more than any of us. They've all come to the same conclusion - QM doesn't have the talent, skill, and/or attitude to be the starting...

“James Franklin set for 2026 after Virginia Tech 'won the offseason'”

As an aside, take a look at this schedule. He has a reasonable chance of going 8-4 or 9-3 in his first year there. At SMU and at Miami are the only 2 "guaranteed" losses. https://fbschedules.com/2026-virginia-tech-football-schedule/

    Anybody ever take Waymo?

Yep, you need to upgrade to 2024 model year or newer - Hardware 4 supports the latest version of FSD. Its FSD function is phenomenal.

    Anybody ever take Waymo?

Not sure if you are being facetious or not, but self-driving cars are absolutely going to be standard in the future. There's a reason the pilot isn't flying your airplane as it hurtles 500 mph across the sky - it's safer on autopilot.

FBS Playoff: Getting closer to 24

It's going to be a pretty easy decision for the $EC. Expansion will mean giving up their conference championship game. Can they be guaranteed that the elimination fo the CCG's revenues will be more than offset by the expanded playoff TV revenue? If so, its a no-brainer. If not, I expect the...

    Tony Romo's DUI

Don't know, but I take a shot every time he begins a sentence with "Jim ...". I'm usually plastered by the end of the first quarter.

We Are Better, 7/2/26, QB, PA, Class of '28

Tom, have you considered retiring the “we are better” phrase since that was the slogan of our former coach?

    USC game tickets

Or, you can buy tickets to almost every game on the secondary market for pennies on the dollar of what PSU wants to sucker you into purchasing.

FC/OT: Sarkisian says firing of prominent college football coach has him worried for the health of the sport.

Other than the fact that's not what got BGJ fired, nor did he go over the AD's head for a raise .... you absolutely nailed it.
