    Iowa Minnesota memories

2008. Iowa 55, Minnesota 0. Last game in the Metrodome. Absolute BTA. 2002 was a great memory as well.

Willie's 2027 Crystal Ball - Final PreSeason Edition

If Iowa finishes below 5th, I would not be surprised to see a coaching change. Yeah sure its not below 10 but this reminds me a little of the end of the Fran McCaffery era for Iowa MBB. They were never bad as a whole (average at best). But this is the least enthusiastic the fanbase for Iowa has...

*****Western Michigan at Michigan game thread*****

The Hawks should beat Michigan. And when I said beat, I'm thinking by a lot. The Defense will feast on this offense.

    NCAA Bracket Release Show Results/Thoughts

In the end, the seeds are just the seeds. A lot of potential Penn State against Iowa and Penn State against Okie State matches on the way to Saturday. For the Cyclones, not too bad. I like a potential second round match between Frost and SVN. Two warriors where it could turn into an 11-10, 12-9...

From the outside looking in, there is a brewing animosity between Nebraska and Penn State.

Live updates: Big Ten wrestling preseeds release on BTN

Absolutely. Makes for some interesting matches in the consolations. Also affects seedings for the national tournament. Guy comes in as the #1 seed at his conference tournament. Meets a stud in the quarters. Loses said match. Comes back to take 3rd or 4th. Possibly drops to 6, 7 or 8 seed for...

Live updates: Big Ten wrestling preseeds release on BTN

Message is clear with some of these. You don't wrestle, your seed takes a hit. Cannot say I disagree.

    Willie's Crystal Ball - 2/26/26

Hey now. While there will be no Hawks in the finals, Cyclones are gonna have three so I will tune in. Heck, I'm going to be there. My 16th NCAA tournament (still counting 2020).

    Willie's Crystal Ball - 2/26/26

If a an entire new staff is brought in next year, Gabe Arnold is one of three I would like to see retained. I know people give him a hard time as do I because I wish he would open up and get to offense. Kid is all heart and effort. I would retain him along with Miguel Estrada and Leo Deluca...

It seems that the consensus is that Oklahoma State is the new rival…

When all that was produced during that timeline was one NCAA Team Title and Spencer Lee was on the only one to win a championship, to me it marked the beginning of the end for Brands. If he couldn't get some of those studs to Saturday night, much less win individual titles, the writing was on...

previously discussed, but beating the drum once again

Ah yes. Back when Iowa Wrestling was fun to watch. 2001 Iowa was one of the best teams to never win it. First five weights: 125 - Jody Strittmatter 133 - Eric Juergens 141 - Doug Schwab 149 - Mike Zadick 157 - T.J. Williams One thing about makes these dynasties which makes them so great (Penn...

previously discussed, but beating the drum once again

This. Instead of complaining and sulking, teams did something about it. To get better, be better. And to be better, get better. I have always believed Minnesota in 2001 was so special not only because of having 10 AA's, no finalist and winning the team title in Iowa City but because of how hard...
