There is a Schiano Hype Machine?

Its due to the carryover from Gandolfini support / Sopranos aura from Schiano 1.O which seems to still carry weight with certain foolish people 20 years later.

With more NIL Support, Schiano will fix it

Maybe I understand or maybe I don't.....but that's neither here nor there as I'm not on this board nor in this thread to prove anything to you. What I do know is that like most others here, I'm unhappy with the state of Rutgers Football. It's not a "right now" dissatisfaction, rather it...

With more NIL Support, Schiano will fix it

We should give Schiano a lifetime extension for at least twice the salary and a 10% increase every year based on his institutional knowledge alone!! He can coach till he's old and feeble and manage the game on the sidelines in his hover-round scribbling in his notepad sunshield. Keep him...

With more NIL Support, Schiano will fix it

He's likely trolling for reactions at this point and his trolling is working by spurring pages amd pages of responses. His routine is pretty much to alternate his threads/posts between NIL or how RU will run the table. His posting pattern has become repetitive.

    Schiano Presser Disaster

Al is way offbase and his posts are to the point of nausea. Because of it he's become the brunt of fan ire. However, he's hardly the reason RU is not successful.

OT: NY Giants 2026 Season Thread

Thomas has been playing with a groin injury which is impacting his push, Runyan is just serviceable at best, Mauligoa is adjusting to the switch to Guard and the lackluster center play. Also, this is the slowest RB room in the NFL. Lots of holes that Harbaugh needed to plug and couldn't...

    Schiano Presser Disaster

I wouldn't waste time ratuonalizing with that poster. There's something not quite right with him......between his continual 3rd person references and his obsessive posts about Schiano never getting fired similar to how he posted the Wimsatt would continually stay at RU and the starter. Many...

Football Report: College Football Playoff nearing deal to expand to 24 teams

Best way to address this pointnis to personalize the situation. While for the good of college football might impact perhaps 10 programs consistently every year......for the rest of us, I think the expanded playoffs are a good thing. In 2006 most if not all RU fans would have easily traded the...

    OT: Locksley out

Agree. But perhaps re-read my post and what I was responding to as that wasnt the point I was making. I was responding to a poster who was essentially claiming that RU not firing Schiano (ala UMD with Locksley) was an indication that RU is only in the BIG for the money. My post was not...

    OT: Locksley out

Situation is much more complex than that. The political and media climate is different in NJ towards RU. Locksley's buyout is half of GS. Maryland is also supported by UA / Kevin Plank corporate $$ millions. RU will move on from GS. Perhaps you should have moved on yourself from this...

Football Report: College Football Playoff nearing deal to expand to 24 teams

You were a Notre Dame fan so of course your loved the tradition and the way the sport was in "days gone by". ND was on TV every week and essentially had their own dedicated TV Network to propagate their traditions and rivalries. If ND wasn't relevant in any particular season, I'm guessing...

Football Report: College Football Playoff nearing deal to expand to 24 teams

The model from 50 years ago was like a monopoly controlled by the NCAA and independent Bowl Organizations. Aside from the National Championship game - the rest of the bowls became more and more meaningless over time - nothing more than exhibitions to create some extra sporting content for...

Football Report: College Football Playoff nearing deal to expand to 24 teams

The 1970s-80's? So you preferred having the coaches and sports writers voting in a champion and even split national champions? Or was it having a computer algorithm decide the national championship? Or a group of ADs, College Presidents and Politicians deciding who plays in a single game...

OT: New York Yankees 2026-2027 Off Season Thread

Prove that I trolled the Mets thread or STFU. Also, you don't seem to get the point. You came here to revel in the Yankees getting ousted after a Mets horrible season. That's the loser point. The Yankees thread activity volume has nothing to do with the point. There are various reasons...
