Basketball Rutgers Basketball falls to Villanova 77-75 in its first scrimmage

I think the strategy for this team is to draw fouls and get to the line. We shoot free throws well last year and I believe that will be a key for our success. I agree that we have to manufacture more 3 point attempts. I also don't think we should be taking 36 attempts like Nova because we dont...

BB Recruiting 2026 Rutgers Basketball Transfer Portal Tracker

He was very limited. For all the talk about how European players are fundamentally sound, he did not live up to that stereotype. He couldn't dribble and might have been the worst passer on the team. Need to get players who are not limited. Players that can, shoot, pass, and dribble

    Student Athlete Act of 2026

Agree completely. The transfer rule would be a necessity to add some balance to this nil ecosystem. One idea I've also thought about is having a limit or cap on the number of transfers a school could take over a set number of seasons. For example for basketball you could only take 4 total...

    Start Nwuli!!

Lino will get there. He just has to adjust to college physicality at the rim.

    JMike from Deep

J Mike has turned into a pretty good catch and shoot 3 point shooter. We have to get him some looks for corner 3s or from the wing off penetration

    Euphoria aside...

I agree with you. The metrics said our d was better against purdue than ucla which I don't agree with. Purdue shot like 70 something percent from 2. The defense was pretty good last night

    The Sad Truth

We survived naked free throws and the steak of turmoil , we'll be ok!

    Jamichael Davis

J Mike made a couple 3s against Columbia and Princeton from the corner. Hopefully he can be a solid knockdown catch and shoot guy for the rest of season.

    What a BIZZARE Presser Question

Absolutely a ridiculous question. Also someone who didn't do his homework or know his history. Seton Hall had the number 1 recruiting class under Tommy Amaker with the number 1 recruit Eddie Griffin. So it has been done there

Anyone cash in their free Shake Shack shake from last night?

Went to bridgewater location. Showed the ticket. Cashier said it was free with the purchase of an item that was at least $1.

    Griffiths

I see progress out of him the last few games. I know he didn't shoot it well against Michigan but I liked that he drove and was looking to pass. Thought he made some good looks for others.

JMike Earned His 33 Minutes Tonight

I know he has his shooting issues with free throws and mid range but he's money on catch and shoot threes in transition

Simpson and Davis “at the rim”

J-Mike had a few layups that went in and out on him. He's still adjusting to college and how to finish around the rim. Fernandes has me a little concerned so far. Not facilitating enough and not shooting enough/being aggressive. Might need some more time to shake off rust of not playing much...
